Tehani Ursua

I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo in May 2024. After passing the NCLEX in August, I began working as a contract school nurse with the Department of Education, supporting keiki with chronic conditions such as Type 1 Diabetes and seizure disorders. I also gained experience in long-term care at Kula Hospital before stepping away to pursue my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at UH Hilo. Born and raised in Waiʻanae, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges our local communities face in accessing affordable, quality healthcare. As a wife and mother of soon-to-be two keiki, my goal is to provide holistic, culturally grounded care to help empower our lāhui to take control of their health and well-being.
